About

A small company building a small, useful thing.

Ottakin gives independent businesses and student clubs a lightweight way to create identity, encourage repeated behaviour, and understand participation. Built in Ottawa.

Most loyalty and membership tools ask a lot: a new app, a new login, a sign-up sheet, a spreadsheet to clean up afterward. For a business or a club run by a few people, that overhead is the reason nothing sticks.

Ottakin starts from the pass. A customer or member scans a QR code and adds a card to the wallet they already use. From there, every visit or check-in is one more thing you know about who’s becoming a regular — and who joined once and never came back.

For a business, that’s repeat customers you can see. For a club, it’s participation you can act on. Same idea, same Wallet infrastructure, two products.

How we think about it.

The pass belongs in Wallet

People already carry Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. A membership or loyalty pass should live there, not in an app nobody opens twice.

Say what the data supports

We report memberships, visits, check-ins, and repeat attendance — the things we can actually count. Where a number is illustrative, we label it.

Small organizations first

A café owner and a club executive don't have an IT department. If it needs a manual, it's not done.

Own your relationship

The customer or member is yours. Ottakin is the tool, not the middleman. Customer data is never sold.

Where it stands.

Ottakin is early. The product is live and working — loyalty passes, membership passes, events, check-in, and the dashboards behind them. We’re testing with independent businesses and student organizations in Ottawa this fall, including a Club Fair pilot on September 14. Early, but not amateur.
